How It Works

Words: Counted by splitting on whitespace and filtering empty strings.
Sentences: Detected by sentence-ending punctuation (. ! ?) followed by space or end of text.
Paragraphs: Counted as blocks of text separated by blank lines.
Characters: Total count including spaces and punctuation.
